& Weather
Expect
sun, sun, and more sun to be a constant feature of St. Croix weather,
an agreeable year-round mix of bright blue skies and fresh breezes.
St. Croix weather is tropical, meaning that temperatures change
very little from season to season. Expect day-time averages in the
winter and night-time averages in the summer to hover in the 70s.
Warm summer days may reach into the 90s, while chilly winter evenings
can dip into the high 60s, but these are truly the extremes. St.
Croix weather is the most pleasant - warm but with low humidity
- between December and March, when most of North America is experiencing
a biting cold, frost, and snow.
St.
Croix weather does include a rainy season during the low tourist
season months in the summer. Those people who do travel there during
July or August shouldn't worry too much; tropical showers are famous
for stopping so fast after they've started that people barely have
enough time to gather up their towels and scurry off the beach.
Rain may actually be welcomed during this time, when St. Croix weather
is at its hottest, as a brief respite from the tropical sun. Also
providing year-round relief from St. Croix weather? Trade winds
blowing off the water, a continuous stream of cool breezes best
felt near open strips of beach and one of the most pleasant of St.
Croix weather attributes.
