Getting Around

Car Rentals: There are a number of car/jeep rental agencies in Road Town, Cane Garden Bay and the West End. If you want to drive in the BVI, you do need to have a valid BVI Driving License. A 3 month temporary license can be issued for the fee of $10.00 from the Traffic Licensing Office or from car rental agencies as long as you have a valid driver's license from your country. Remember that driving is on the left and there is a maximum speed limit is 30 mph, and 10-15 mph in residential areas.

Bike Rentals: A bicycle must also be registered at the Traffic Licensing Office in Road Town for a cost of $5.00. The license plate has to be affixed to the bicycle.

Taxi: Taxi service is readily available.

Ferry: Ferry service allows easy island hopping to Virgin Gorda (BVI), Peter Island (BVI), Jost Van Dyke (BVI), Anegada (BVI), St. John (USVI) and St. Thomas (USVI).
